Meet Annabel
"Hi, I’m Annabel and I started Girl Grads Run in September 2023, initially as a running community for all female graduates and young professionals now living in Edinburgh. After graduating from Edinburgh University in 2023, I missed the social network that being a student provided. As a result, I started a social, pace-inclusive run club to meet like-minded people and to have friends to run with, particularly in the dark evenings. With over 15 run club volunteers, we now have a core group of girls who are committed to creating a supportive and welcoming space for Girl Grads in Edinburgh."
About Us
Girl Grads Run grew quickly in Edinburgh and in July 2024, we rebranded to ‘Girl Grads,’ to broaden our mission, now connecting and supporting women through wellness, social, and community events.
We are the first in-person network for female grads and young professionals in Scotland, offering events and connection opportunities.

Our Why
Navigating your 20s can be one of the most difficult times of your life- starting a new job, moving to a new city, trying to learn new skills and meeting new people.
We believe that having a community of like-minded women is integral to wellness. When we talk about wellness, we mean wellness in the holistic sense- having a group of supportive friends, opportunities, a safe space to move your body and a wide network to be yourself and to flourish in your career. This is why we built Girl Grads. Edinburgh is a buzzing city, with plentiful opportunities for young professionals to be fulfilled in all areas of life. And we’re here to support you every step of the way.
